2027 Southern California Open Chess Tournament

Join us for an exciting week of chess competition in Glendale!

The Southern California Open returns to Glendale for the third time. More than 500 players are expected to compete at the Hilton Glendale from August 25 to 29, 2027. The tournament is organized by dot818 with the City of Glendale, the American Chess Academy, and the Southern California Chess Federation (SCCF).

Registration for the 2027 tournament is not open yet. Registration information will be posted here when available.

USCF Membership Required

(SCCF membership is also required for Southern California residents.)

The 2027 Southern California Open will take place at the Hilton Glendale. Key details:
